How The Bridgewire works
Public beta
The Bridgewire is a developing independent publication about Switzerland and China. This public beta contains working articles for feedback. The beta is not a live news service.
Beta information updated 17 October 2026
About, ownership and contact
The Bridgewire is an editorial brand owned and run by David personally. It is not a registered business and is not VAT-registered. The data controller is David Rodrigues, Chemin du Jonc, Le Grand-Saconnex, Geneva, Switzerland.
For beta feedback, corrections or privacy questions, email ddavid28@gmail.com. There are no paid services, user accounts or contact forms on this beta.
Privacy
David is responsible for personal data processed through this site. Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website. Like other hosting providers, it processes technical request information, such as IP addresses, request details and security signals, to deliver and protect the service. This is based on our legitimate interest in running a secure website. Cloudflare and Google (Gmail) may process data outside Switzerland and the EU, including in the United States, under their own data transfer safeguards. This beta does not add visitor analytics, profiling or an editorial personal-data database. Worker application logging is disabled.
Newsletter signup is disabled. Resend and Sanity are not connected to the public beta runtime. Opening a source link takes you to another website, whose own privacy practices apply.
If you choose to email David, your email address and message are received through Gmail and used to handle your request. Do not include sensitive information that is unnecessary for your question. Emails are deleted 12 months after the matter is closed. You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or receive a copy of your data at the same address. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or to the data protection authority in your EU country. Other arrangements will be reviewed before additional features are enabled.
Editorial standards
Our aim is simple: to present Switzerland-China developments in a way that is useful to readers and fair to both countries. We write neutrally. We source from official statements and primary records, not from unreliable or second-hand reports.
Articles link to official Swiss, Chinese and other primary records. Factual claims, attributed statements and our interpretation must remain distinct. A scheduled programme does not establish that an event occurred or produced an agreement.
Each article shows its review status. Automated publishing is disabled. Readers should check the dated original sources before relying on information for a decision.
How we use AI
The Bridgewire uses AI tools to support research, drafting, source comparison, translation and quality checks. AI does not select or publish articles on its own. Official records remain the factual authority for every article. David, the responsible editor, reviews and approves every English edition before publication. Chinese editions are translated and checked with AI assistance from the approved English text, and each Chinese article states whether a Chinese-reading person has reviewed it. AI can make mistakes, so we welcome corrections at ddavid28@gmail.com. AI-generated images are labelled as such.
This Chinese edition is currently an AI translation of the English original approved by David, reviewed by AI. We plan to add review by a human Chinese-language editor. Until then, the English original prevails. Please report any errors to ddavid28@gmail.com.
Corrections
Email ddavid28@gmail.com with the article link, the passage concerned and any supporting source. David handles beta feedback. Material corrections should identify what changed and when, including changes to the related language edition where relevant.
Images, copyright and reuse
Article images are supplied by David. AI-generated images are labelled as AI-generated, and third-party photographs are credited to their photographers. They are not photographs of the events, people or meeting venues described. The site also uses original illustrative artwork and self-hosted fonts.
Source links do not grant permission to reproduce third-party text or images. Public availability alone is not a reuse licence. Contact David about any rights concern; uncertain material can be removed while it is reviewed.
Terms and disclaimer
This beta provides general information, not legal, tax, customs, immigration, investment or other professional advice. It does not create a consultant-client relationship. Check current official sources and seek qualified advice for a specific decision.
External websites may change or become unavailable. The beta may also change or be taken offline for corrections and development. These notices describe the current beta; no completed independent legal review is claimed.
Current launch status
Anyone with the beta link can view the site. Search engines are asked not to index it; this is not an access restriction. The full editorial launch and additional services remain under preparation.
